Provide support in the development of strategy/business plan for the Business Development Unit and implement same.
Provide input into the development of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work plan and other support systems including monitoring mechanisms in managing the Business Development Unit to achieve targeted objectives.
Implement approved comprehensive strategic and tactical plans for business development, income generation and awareness-creation for Subah.
Undertake desk studies/research to support business development initiatives to identify new opportunities and approaches.
Research and come up with intelligence that will inform proposal development for new investment projects.
Conduct feasibility studies into new business ideas and develop draft project proposals for review and approval.
Analyse the profitability of existing business and recommend new ways/methods to improve on profitability.
Stay abreast with current government policy interventions on emerging bi-lateral and multi-lateral economic/social development initiatives and provide advice on potential business opportunities for the Centre.
Provide support in the development of new products and services from inception to respective launch to meet growing and changing customer needs.
Propose innovative ideas and approaches for developing the Centre’s business and service delivery.
Collate data/information for the preparation of bid documents to facilitate business initiatives and projects.
Participate in research on existing markets and competitors to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for Subah and submit findings for further action.
Liaise with advertising agencies on ongoing sales and marketing campaigns and promotions on print, radio, television, bill board and direct mail to increase awareness of the Centre’s products and services in the market.
Increase client penetration and revenue for the Centre by actively promoting the Centre’s services and product capabilities.
Identify opportunities for new/incremental business with clients and work with relevant internal stakeholders to turn opportunities into revenue.
Maintain and update data/information of priority sectors, market trends and routes for improved effectiveness within the sales support function.
Monitor external environment and submit findings for the development of new market segments for Sabah’s products and services.
Maintain professional relationship and liaise closely with business executives to explore new business opportunities.
Provide input into the preparation of the annual budget for the Business Development Unit and implement same.
Stay abreast with business-related legislations, rules and regulations and emerging trends/best practices in business development.
Maintain a network of contacts that will support the operations of the Business Development Unit.
Maintain and update comprehensive data on potential, new and existing business development initiatives for easy retrieval and accessibility of information.
Prepare and submit monthly or periodic business development reports to Supervisor.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Good knowledge/understanding of the business environment of Ghana and other foreign countries of importance to the company.
Good knowledge of Ghana’s Trade Policy, GIPC regulations and other regulatory bodies/agencies with regard to business operations and/or relations with foreign content.
Ability to develop fresh approaches and innovations as appropriate.
Good knowledge/understanding of market segmentation, value propositions and customer profiling.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent discipline in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Marketing or related field with at least five (5) years relevant working experience in a similar role.
